I can't believe it, I am sad/happy all at the same time. Sad because our time together is over, but so happy because I got to have this year with all of them. I can't wait to celebrate tomorrow with all of you at the show. Please drop them regular time with a brown bag snack and water and we will meet you over at the lower church @10am! This has been the best year and thank you all for entrusting your children's first school experience with me! :)

Today we reviewed all the letters in the alphabet! We danced to some letter songs and reviewed letters on the smart board. Friends were allowed to come up and pick a letter and choose the pictures that went along with it. We did the sounds also. They are beyond ready for entering K or another year of preK! I can't believe tomorrow is our last full day together, I cried a few times today- it will for sure be an emotional week. See you tomorrow :)
Today was a great field day. We were out there from 8:30-10, so we had a later snack since they were all starving when we came in. They all still ate their lunch at regular time, so they must have burned off some energy. We finished up the cut/paste alphabet and they keep referring to it as their "abc book". I have a fun last alphabet project we will work on the last two days. Here are some field day pics. See you tomorrow :)
The excitement from all of them today, was about a 10!!!! Niamhs dad, Mr. Keleghan came with the firetruck and allowed each of us to sit inside and take a picture. (below) They beeped the horn and put on the sirens when they arrived. They ended up having to go on a call, but all the friends did make it on the engine and got to take a picture. We practiced our songs we will sing together in the celebration show, with PrekB today too. They sound great, and we have a rehearsal next Monday planned in the lower church hall. See you tomorrow :)
Today we planted our very own plants. (marigolds) They were all so excited and patiently waited their turns. I did 4/5 at a time, during centers along with Mr. X puppet, upper/lowercase X, and ipads. We will continue to give our flowers water and sun daily until the pot will go home with you next week. After they planted the flower they drew a picture of what they thought the flower would look like when it began to grow! We had music with Mrs. Burton, getting down the final music class. Can't wait for Firetruck day tomorrow with Niamh's dad. See you tomorrow :)
Happy Tuesday! We had a great day! We made it out for this mornings recess but this afternoon it did rain. (sadly) We continued to practice for the celebration show today and continued on letter X! I have been finishing up assessments this week, so reports can go home on 6/13- next Wednesday. Today we also had art class with Mrs. Caruso and Mrs. Turco came into the class to do a special surprise project. We did centers with ipads, play-doh, lego building, and housekeeping. See you tomorrow :)
Today we welcomed the last letter of our alphabet, letter X! I can't believe we made it through all 26!!!! We learned that Mr. X likes to be a little different and live upside down! His song is wonderful, and it is all about liking yourself and being yourself. We did some talk about liking ourselves and went around the room so everyone could say one thing they liked about themselves! We will continue this all week. We had library with Mrs. Johnson and she made a special change into our classroom today, instead of us going up to library. She read a great Curious George story to them. It was one soggy rainy day! We had both recess times inside and they loved to play with many different activities. I can't believe this is the last full week of school, I am very sad! See you tomorrow :)
Sorry I was not here yesterday, my allergies were so bad! Today we had library first thing with Mrs. Johnson and she read a story about the clouds. We also had Beatriz mother, Kathleen come and read us a story as the mystery reader!!! (3rd time's a charm). So happy you were able to get into us! Me and Mrs. D shared our last day of show and tell. I 100% forgot mine so I shared my drivers license, and they loved it! haha Mrs. D shared a picture of Joey, her son, graduating college. We had a wonderful short day, hope you all have a great weekend!
Today we had music with Mrs. Burton, we thanked her for putting on the wonderful show she did last week. They sang songs and played "hot potato" with her. In centers we did Ms. J upper/lowercase, stick puppets, ipads, and letter match-upper/lower. At show and tell Mrs. D brought her her baby doll named Joey and I brought in a special picture of me and the kids I nanny for in front of their house (before they moved across town). We both talked about how special these items were to us and that is why we picked them. Thank you so much to everyone who has sent the project money in so far, if you could have it sent in by next Monday 6/4 that will be helpful in starting them. We played outside for both recess times with no jackets on!! See you all tomorrow :)
Ms. J was found sipping a juice box while we were at art class. She left us a note, telling us she jumped into the class while we were not there. She has a jingly jacket that jingle jangles when she moves but is super quiet when she doesn't. She brought along a few J items: jelly, j-e-l-l-o, a jaguar, and a jelly fish. We have been practicing songs for our celebration show coming up on 6/14! We did math centers this afternoon before heading out to recess. Me and Mrs. D had show and tell today. Mrs. D shared her baby doll and I shared my 1/2 marathon medal from Disney! They were so so excited to see what we had to share, ALL DAY! See you tomorrow :)
